A quick check in while I’m away.
From the Sunday Self-Care Chronicles | 8/24/25
Hello gorgeous!
I'm currently on holiday so the next few emails will be a bit short and sweet but I wanted to do a little check in with you as I am lucky to have folks who regularly check in with me.
Because going all in on breast cancer professionally can be a roller coaster.
It seems like things move in cycles and there are times where I am deep in what my husband and I call “occupational hazards."
These tend to be the times when clients have gotten less than desirable news, or someone we know personally reaches out because they've been diagnosed and now need my professional support, or worst of all, I lose a client to this disease or learn about others in the community who have passed.
I don't use the term lightly but it's become a simple way to voice when I'm having a hard day at work so that he understands and can offer a tighter hug or a listening ear when I need it.
BUT there are also times when things seem to be going REALLY WELL and lately that's the space and energy I'm so lucky to be living in.
Clients have been getting GOOD news (negative biopsies and scans!), reaching milestones (finishing treatments and finalizing surgeries!), and becoming more open to taking care of and accepting their bodies again.
They've shared that our in-person work together is offering significant relief from physical symptoms and that my on-demand resources are helping them feel more confident and connected living in their bodies.
When my clients walk in and tell me they are doing GREAT and I can genuinely see they mean it, it lights up my world.
So this is a quick check-in for you (without expectation or pressure), how are YOU doing right now?
If you are also in a place where life feels good, hopeful, or optimistic, please hit reply and TELL ME ABOUT IT* so I can cheer you on!
And if things aren't so great, if life is feeling heavy, or your world is a bit uncertain, then please hit reply and tell me that too*, so that I can hold a little space for you in my heart and send out a little request to the universe asking for some grace on your behalf.
*either way these will be emails I will be happy to read and respond to even while I'm away!
That's it for now! Next week I've got a couple of fun (NOT cancery) recommendations for you and the week after I'll be sharing something BIG in the making!
Until then, remember, I'm always in this with you…
ps. Do you know someone who could use a little check in of their own? Reach out and let them know you are thinking of them.
pps. If you like what you read here please consider forwarding this email to a friend or sharing it on your socials.
