Career Support
Professional Mentorship
Are you ready to make a difference in the world and your career?
Gain clarity, confidence, and practical guidance to start or expand your work within the cancer community.
Do you dream of shifting your practice to something more meaningful and sustainable for the long haul?
Are you looking for ways to set yourself apart in a crowded market or see a gap that needs to be filled locally?
Have you already received training but are looking to refresh your knowledge, strengthen your skills, or simply have professional support that is focused on YOU?
When I decided to pursue specialized training for cancer care I had an advantage that many therapists don’t: I began my career learning from some of the pioneers and legends in oncology massage.
And beyond their classes, I had access to their mentorship—an invaluable resource for asking questions, gaining confidence, and navigating the nuances of working with cancer patients and survivors.
Not everyone has that kind of access where they live, and it can be hard to know where to start or who to turn to for guidance.
That’s exactly why I’m offering this service—to provide the mentorship and support I was so fortunate to receive, no matter where you are in your journey or your practice.
Meet Amy: Combining Professional Expertise with Personal Insight
Since 2012, I’ve dedicated my professional life to supporting individuals impacted by cancer through my integrative oncology practice, professional mentorship, and non-profit work.
But I’m not just a practitioner—I’m also a breast cancer survivor. I bring a unique perspective to my mentorship, combining years of specialized training, hands-on experience, and personal insight into the challenges faced by those in this field.
My mentorship clients consistently share how much they value having someone who understands both the professional and patient sides of cancer care. Whether you’re just starting out or refining your focus, I’m here to provide clarity, actionable guidance, and support tailored to your goals.
This is your chance to “pick my brain” and benefit from my unique blend of expertise and experience. Together, we’ll explore the steps to help you build a thriving practice that feels both meaningful and sustainable!
Build your practice with confidence through expert advice and support.

TAKE THE NEXT STEP IN YOUR CAREER!
Your practice should serve you as well as your clients.
One of the greatest things that I’ve learned in over 12 years of professional practice is that you don’t have to sacrifice yourself or the business of your dreams to make a difference to others.
The "Ask Amy" Professional Mentorship session is a 1:1 consultation designed for massage therapists and integrative practitioners like you, offering personalized guidance to help you build, refine, or expand your practice within the cancer community.
How it Works:
Book Your Call: Pay for your session and schedule a time that works for you. Sessions are offered Monday-Wednesday between 11:00am and 8:00pm (Eastern United States).
Come Prepared: Bring your questions—or simply share your story, and we’ll figure it out together.
Walk Away Empowered: With resources, recommendations, and reassurance tailored just for you.
Logistics and Takeaways: To help you get the most out of your session, we’ll meet on Zoom, where the call will be recorded for your convenience. I’ll also use an AI note-taker to transcribe and summarize our conversation, capturing key insights, resources, recommendations, and action steps. Everything will be sent to you afterwards, giving you easy, anytime access to revisit the recording and notes whenever you need them.
A few additional things to be clear on:
This not a coaching program.
These are individual consultations that are each meant to be complete in and of themselves. You are welcome to book more than one if you find them valuable but there is no obligation to do so and I will not pressure you to rebook when we are done.
I am not a business “coach”.
What I am though is a successful practitioner in my chosen field who has designed and built my perfect practice over the last 13 years.
It hasn’t been a perfect path but it’s been a rewarding one! Trying things and seeing what works and what doesn’t is a big part of any professional’s work, whether you are an employee, contractor, self-employed, or a full blown entrepreneur.
In addition to my massage career I have an extensive background in retail buying and management, corporate Human Resources, and I even birthed a small craft business called The Interlaken Soak Company which was a hit at many local farmer’s markets and artisan shows.
This is peer support—not a step-by-step formula.
I’m not here to hand you a plug-and-play system or promise a one-size-fits-all blueprint for success. The truth is, there isn’t one, especially in a field this nuanced, personal, and evolving. What I can offer is honest perspective, lived experience, and practical feedback based on the real-world work of building a values-driven practice that serves both your clients and your life.
I respect and honor my limitations.
I believe in naming what’s in my lane and what’s not. One thing I like to make super clear in advance is what I'm able to talk about from a position of authority and what I approach personally or leave to others who know better than I.
Here’s what I can help with—because it’s what I live and breathe every day:
What it’s like to work with the cancer community.
How to find the proper training whether you are just starting out or deepening your skills.
Creating connections with other professionals and organizations in this unique space.
How the client experience matters as much as the technical work you offer.
And here’s what I won’t pretend to be an expert in (but I can almost always point you toward someone who is!):
General marketing strategies and practices such as email marketing, social media, and networking.
Financial management, accounting, and book keping.
Systems and infrastructure for running your business.
What you want to do with your life and practice (if you don’t already know).
These are subjects that I can absolutely make resources and recommendations for, and share my own experience and perspective on, but I am not a trained professional in these arenas.
While these lists aren't exhaustive or rigid, I hope they provide a clear understanding of where my expertise can best support your journey.
